En quinto de primaria hemos llevado a cabo una actividad muy especial dentro del área de Literacy, en la que el arte y la expresión oral se han convertido en los grandes protagonistas.
Cada alumno eligió un cuadro famoso y se convirtió en un auténtico experto sobre su obra. Investigaron sobre el autor, el estilo artístico y los detalles más relevantes de la pintura. Entre las obras seleccionadas encontramos auténticas joyas como La noche estrellada de Vincent van Gogh, La Gioconda de Leonardo da Vinci, El grito de Edvard Munch, entre muchas otras.
El objetivo principal de la actividad no solo era ampliar conocimientos sobre arte, sino también desarrollar habilidades fundamentales de Literacy: la investigación, la organización de la información, la escritura de un texto expositivo y la expresión oral en público.
Durante las presentaciones, los alumnos demostraron una gran implicación y entusiasmo.
Fue una experiencia muy enriquecedora tanto a nivel académico como personal. Nuestros alumnos no solo aprendieron sobre grandes maestros de la historia del arte, sino que también ganaron confianza al hablar frente a sus compañeros.
Sin duda, una actividad que repetiremos… ¡porque el arte también se lee, se interpreta y se comunica!

🎨 Discovering Art in Year 5
In Year 5, we carried out a very special activity within the Literacy department, where art and oral expression took center stage.
Each student chose a famous painting and became a true expert on the work. They researched the artist, the artistic style, and the most significant details of the piece. Among the selected works were masterpieces such as Vincent van Gogh’s The Starry Night, Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, and Edvard Munch’s The Scream, among many others.
The main objective of this activity was not only to broaden their knowledge of art but also to develop fundamental Literacy skills: research, information organization, writing expository texts, and public speaking.
During the presentations, the students showed great commitment and enthusiasm. It was a very enriching experience on both an academic and personal level. Our students didn’t just learn about the great masters of art history; they also gained confidence in speaking before their peers.
Without a doubt, this is an activity we will repeat… because art is also meant to be read, interpreted, and communicated!
